We are carbon neutral and have made an internationally recognised climate commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2030. We source high-integrity, nature-based carbon offsets from OneTribe.
We are certified Pending B Corp and are committed to becoming certified B Corp. A B Corp is an organisation that has been verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Essentially, a B Corp demonstrates that it uses business as a force for good, prioritising a positive impact on people, the planet, and the community.
Dr Gary Bilotta
Gary is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) and Chartered Environmentalist (Member of the Institute of Fisheries Management) with a first-class degree (BSc hons) in Physical Geography from the University of Sheffield and a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Exeter. He holds a PRINCE2Ⓡ qualification in Project Management and has more than 20 years’ experience in the environmental sector, gained through his roles at AECOM, Fishtek Consulting, the Environment Agency, Defra, and the University of Brighton. His skills and expertise are focussed on freshwater ecology, hydrology, and geomorphology. He has published an array of peer-reviewed scientific articles on these topics and has developed numerous tools that are used by regulators and policy-makers. He has also designed numerous river restoration and fish passage schemes across the UK, including schemes within designated sites and sites with high heritage value.
Dr Matt Turley
Matt is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management), specialising in river/wetland restoration and natural flood management. For the past 10 years he’s been delivering river restoration and habitat creation projects for a range of clients, including the Environment Agency, Rivers Trusts, Wildlife Trusts, water companies and private landowners.
Matt has a first-class degree (BSc hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Plymouth and a PhD from the University of Brighton. He has expertise in hydrology, geomorphology and freshwater ecology, allowing him to provide a holistic approach to habitat restoration projects with a focus on nature-based solutions. He also has significant experience of delivering restoration work on the ground, providing him with the ability to identify additional opportunities as well as constraints, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of restoration projects.
